Chichester and Bognor Green Party announce their General Election candidate for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton

14 May 2017

Chichester and Bognor Green Party are pleased to announce that Andrew Bishop who lives with his young family in Bognor Regis, is their candidate for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
Andrew Bishop has worked in further and higher education for the past ten years and believes strongly that young people, who are the voice of the future, should be given more opportunities locally.
‘This constituency needs a voice that isn’t part of the stagnant debate of national politics,’ says Andrew, adding, ‘the Green Party’s policies represent a new politics of hope which would benefit many who are suffering under the current system.’
He would also be strong voice standing up for sustainable development and while supporting housing to meet real local need, is against the endless sprawl of new housing in Bognor and Littlehampton; he also stands against fracking and for renewable energy and public transport. The local Green Party are increasingly worried about increasing levels of air pollution and Andrew would add his voice to remind the government of their responsibilities to protect the health of those who live near roads and in city centres.
Andrew believes strongly that the Brexit agreement should be a ‘soft’, rather than ‘hard’ one and would support a second referendum with the negotiated terms put to the people’s vote again.
